In 1989 John took on a new business partner, Eric Butler, who bought with him his years of experience from working, initially, on the restoration of Classic/Vintage Vehicles and subsequent Body shop training by and working for Mercedes Benz. Specialising in the Repair and Renovation of Prestige Motor Vehicles, the business has a good client base and has gone from strength to strength.

John took early retirement in 2002 and Eric took over sole control of the Company. He has since relocated  the business to larger premises at Beenham Industrial Estate, which has easier access along the M4/A4 corridor, taking the opportunity to invest in the latest computerised eco-friendly water based Paint Systems, new Spraybake Oven, Dent Pulling and Welding Equipment.

So, here we are in 2009 and the business has now been taken over by Ian Nisbet, allowing Eric to take his “early retirement “and go on to do other things. Ian has been part of Modern Paint since the very early days and has played a major part over the years in assisting Eric with both the daily running of the business and its transition to where we are today. His knowledge and expertise and that of his team, Alan Ashfield and Paul Farmer, again both long standing members of Modern Paint, will ensure the continuity  of the Company, its reputation and good service that keeps our clients coming back again and again.
